I have sensitive skin so I can't use anything too harsh but I really want something that will leave me with clear skin. What is a good spot treatment and wash? I tried pro-active and it never worked. thank you so much.

Answer:
this is an old remedy theyve used for ages,

1st. boil some water and place it in a bown until it is warm.

2. add a teaspoon of salt and mix

3. dip some cotton in it (or something like it) and apply it to your face where the acne is really visible.

the acne should clear in aboput a week.

Hope this helps!

Here’s an answer I used on similar questions, my routine sounds enjoy it would be good for you because of your sensitive skin, it seems like your type of skin is the kind that breaks out more after using cleansers like clean and clear or clearasil. (Basically my skin.) So try out my routine, and get the St. Ives Collagen Elastin and I'm thinking it will work well for you…

I'm only 16 and I used to break out all the time and it's just frustrating. My skin right now is the clearest out of my friends. I don't use any skin cleaners at all. I only exfoliate my skin, and use St. Ives Collagen Elastin Moisturizer. Most of the time I don't even exfoliate, I usually just shower and make sure to put my face under the shower head for a couple of seconds, get it really dry and put the moisturizer on, and I'm good.

The way I see it, our skin gets dry, and creates oils. Whenever the oil our skin creates and dirt meet, that creates a pimple. So I wash off all the dirt, and put the moisturizer on which is sort of a good oil, and my skin doesn't have to make any oils.

Depending on the severity of your acne there are some good products sold on line or at your dermatologists office. Solvere is a product a lot of younger people use. There are lots of steps to it..face wash, cleansing pads, etc but you can purchase the complete set for around 40.00. If it is severe your dermatologist might want you to try accutane. Lots of good results with it but it is an costly prescription.

Back when I was young…40 years ago…I use to wash my face with noxema each night and now I'm way up in my 50's and have people tell me almost daily how pretty my skin looks..(I work in a derm office you see)
