Answer: Crushed aspirin blended with just enough water to make a paste works to reduce redness and swelling. Visine, or any other eye drops that are supposed to reduce redness will help, but it's hard to get it to stay in place. Preparation H works to reduce redness and swelling, use the cream because the ointment stinks!! Literally, it has shark oil in it.
Answer: Hi Aly. The redness of your skin is something that comes with acne, so what you're really after is a way to reduce or eliminate your acne altogether.
You can spend a fortune on lotions and the like and you might eventually find one that works for you, but it may take time and money. There’s a free substitute, however, in the form of acupressure. Acupressure is like acupuncture but without the needles. It's been practised successfully for thousands of years for all kinds of ailments, and it actually works (but don't ask me how).
Here's an exercise you could do (there are more in the resource listed, which includes acne).
Locate the lower ridge of your eye socket on each side. One finger width below this in line with the centre of the iris of your eye you'll find a slight indentation of the cheek. Pressing these points works to eliminate acne and other facial blemishes. Press these points firmly for one minute, enough to feel just a slight pressure in your eyes.
Here's another one.
Find the two points that are immediately below the points mentioned above, at the bottom of your cheekbones, directly below the pupils of your eyes. Press these points for 60 seconds at a time, two or three times a day (or more often if you feel it is right). This exercise has the same benefits and also firms up your cheeks, improving facial circulation. These two exercises can actually be done together, using the index and middle fingers of each hand.
Do try them and see how you get on.
Good luck.

Answer: Well, i splashed some minty mouthwash on my face when i had the same problem as you and it seemed to calm it down some. Also, ice could calm down any swelling if you rub it on your face. Also, to make bug bites less irritated and red, I mix baking soda with a tiny water to make a paste…it might help acne redness too. Also, do NOT touch your face with your hands when you don't have to, the dirt and oil from your hands really breaks your face out (at least it did with me).
