I’m half way through my Accutane treatment of 80 mg a day, my face now has the redness left behind from my moderate to serve acne. What should i begin using to reduce the redness and scars on my face?
Answer:
Vitamin E prevents acne or pimple scarring and can also be used to fade old scars. Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
Answer: the redness will go away within 8-12 months. sometimes it takes longer depending on the sevreity of the acne mark. unfortunately, nothing can be done about the scars. you can get laser treatment to lessen the appearance of scars but they’ll never actually go away. i recommend wearing makeup to hide them. i hate acne too. i started accutane like a week ago too. my dermatologist decided that it was time cause nothing works for me.
Answer: Talk to your doctor about this. Derms have a lot of things at their disposal, but the timing is crucial since you are not done with your treatment yet. Don't worry, all the red can be gone. There are so many treatments now, including laser, cortisone injections, and topicals.
If the doctor who is handling your Accutane doesn't know, then go see another Dermatologist.
Answer: I would suggest vitamin E oil too.If you find it hard to source, purchase some capsules, open them up and smear the oil over your scars.Keep doing this until all the redness and/or scaring clears.
Answer: I’ve heard that vitamin E is very good for scars. Take a liquid vitamin E pill and split it then rub the liquid on the scars.
Answer: ask the dermatologist. Accutane is serious stuff it basically closes out your oil glands and dries up the skin.
Answer: zinc ointment and zinc supplements. Zinc can be toxic in high doses, so don’t exceed 11 mg of zinc per day.
