I've tried the typical “wal-mart available” solutions, including Clearasil and Clean & Clear. It's not like I have a grainy face, but usually I've got small breakouts.

Try drinking lots of water to flush your system and maybe one laxative to rid your body of toxins. I've been using Dermalogica which is pretty expensive but it works and doesn't dry my face. You can find it at most beauty supplies. Proactiv worked for a while too but then I needed to switch. Proactiv is cheaper and might work for you. Also, make sure you sanitize your face well in the morning and before bed…don't wash your face with body soap…it's usually too strong. Try to avoid touching your face during the day which is hard but if you work at it…you'll get it. You'd be amazed at how much bacteria you transfer to your face without realizing it.

Step1Tempting as it is, don't try to pop the pimple by squeezing, pinching, or picking at it. This will just inflame the pore and spread the oils that caused the pimple.

This increases circulation and helps bring the pimple to a head. Remove the compress and apply gentle pressure to drain the pimple; do not squeeze. If the pimple does not drain, reapply heat and try again. Do not force the pimple.
