I give him a ZINC mineral supplement - its very good for acne and skin in general and when he takes it i do see a differenc.

On top of that he sticks to twice a day cleanse - once a month mask and drinks loads of water and skips fizzy drinks as much as possible

The ideal prescription treatment for me is 10% benzoyl peroxide . However you can get 5% benzoyl peroxide at any drug store - without a prescription. The only side effect is that it may bleach your clothes!

You can also help things along by using an over the counter body/face wash that has salicylic acid in it. Salicylic acid helps to prevent further acne/blockages. My favourite is St. Ives Blemish and Blackhead Apricot Face Wash.

I find that by using benzoyl peroxide and a salicylic wash, my skin clears up fairly swiftly.
