My prescription acne medication have a lot of rubbing alcohol in it, and this makes my skin very dry. I don't know if its supposed to dry out my zits or whatever, but my skin will be in worse condition if I grant the moisture to be taken out of it. Is it okay to use a moisturizer once a day, before or after I use the topical gel?

Always do the treatment first, wait a few minutes, then moisturize,

If your skin is very oily, but your acne meds make it dry, try an oil-free moisturizer.

If your skin is very dry, and your acne meds make it drier, you can go either way - any regular or oil-free moisturizer you can tolerate should work.
