I wanted to know if anyone has tried Proactive and how were the results. My daughter skin is a mess and she has tried nearly everything and she eats pretty health so I don't' know what else to do but the proactive thing.
Any suggestions would be great thanks in advance
Answer: You could also try Clear.now. It's an alternative to Proactive and not as harsh. You can purchase it at www.quixtar.com. You'll have to set up a new free user account and then just search for “Clear.now”. I've used it and it works pretty well.
I've also used some Neutrogena products that have worked well for me. They include:
Cleanser: “Neutrogena® Oil Free Acne Stress Control Power Clear Scrub” and/or “Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash”
Toner: “Neutrogena Clear Pore® Oil-Eliminating Astringent” (blue bottle),
Moisturizer: “Neutrogena Rapid Clear® Acne Defense Face Lotion” or “Neutrogena® Oil-Free Anti-Acne Moisturizer”.
Neutrogena also has a 3-pack cleanser, toner, and moisturizer for acne also if you don't want to by the individual items listed above.
Hope that helps. I'm 31 and have been using both products since I was a teenager.
Answer: i tried proactive and it didn't work for me, it made go from nearly nothing to a lot. im 16 too. My cousin who is also 16 and she's a girl, has bad acne and she tried it and it made he worse. She's trying Skin ID now. She said it works fine. Im gonna try it when im finished with what im using now.
But for now your daughter has to make sure she knows what she eats and to not touch her face while out. That has also helped me a lot. Now i just get the occasional pimple.
Hope I helped.
Answer: actually, im 21 had moderate you could call it light acne in my teens, i've been using proactive since i was 17, it worked a little and then nothing. it was just making it worse, so i switched to clean and clear, that didnt work either, finally i went to the dermatologist, i know you thnk doc visits are costly, but if i could've i would've gone sooner, it would've have saved me from all the scars and low self esteem. i hope skin id works for both of you, i never tried it. im on duac and retin-a, and some antibiotics, i dont see results yet but im hopeful.
