I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and so is my friend. My friend's acne has gotten worse and it has greatly affected him. He is so humiliated about his acne, that he refuses to leave the automobile and go inside to our meetings. I really want to help him see that even though he has acne, it doesn't change the way people view him, especially as a friend. I want him to realize that I still love him as a friend, no matter what he looks like. Can someone please help me?

Answer:
It's sweet of you to be so concerned about your friend. As you can see, acne can really affect a person's self-esteem.

Most people get acne at some point in their lives, so your friend is definitely not alone. It's also common for acne to make people feel humiliated, self-conscious, or uncomfortable. These feelings are normal.

I, too, am concerned for your friend. It's always a warning sign when acne keeps someone from interacting socially.

Getting treatment for his acne is going to be important. I'm assuming he has already tried over-the-counter products, and they aren't working. (If not, he might want to try an OTC product with benzoyl peroxide. It takes several weeks to notice a difference, though.)

If OTC products don't work, it's time for him to see a physician.

Maybe you could suggest he make an appointment? He might not even need a referral to a dermatologist. Most family practitioners are experienced in treating acne. There are several prescription medications available that are very effective at treating acne.

Once he sees improvement, his outlook should also improve. But it's important that he tell his physician everything, including how acne is affecting his self-esteem. You can be the one to give him that nudge he needs.

Give your friend as much support as you can right now, and really encourage him to seek treatment for his acne. I'm not sure how old you both are, but if your friend is a minor you should also talk to his parents. Explain that you are worried about him, and tell them why. Isolating himself because of acne is a sign that he’s feeling overwhelmed, and that he needs help.

You're a great friend. Keep supporting him, plan fun things to do together, show him you care more about him than you do his skin but encourage him to seek treatment. Good luck!

Answer:
Well, last summer I had pretty bad acne and it was really annoying. My loo drawer was full of pretty much every acne medication you could buy at the drug store and none of those products worked (or maybe I was just too impaitient, I don't know). Eventually I just went to the physician and had her perscribe me some stronger medicine and that worked a lot superior. I'd recommend telling him to go to a physician if nothing else is working because he probably needs stronger acne medication that you can only get with a perscripton. Trust me, its good stuff. My acne has gotten a lot superior.

just tell him that everyone has acne or has had some form of it at some point in their life. theres no need for him to be humiliated

There is this new popular cream that people have been speaking about.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It's been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After pics are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up “Cee En's Acne Solution” on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can buy 1 month supply for $40, 3 month for $100, or 6 month supply for $150

It's pricey, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I’ve also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.
