I am going through puberty and i've been getting these pimples on my back face and chest. I treat each day twice a day in the shower. Is this because i am going through puberty and if it is will it go away?

Answer:
Some of the hormones released during puberty cause the sebaceous glands (in hair follicles/pores in the skin) to secrete more oil, this blocks some, trapping oil and causing infection.

Acne usually disappears on its own when hormone levels settle down, but it can take a while (years in some cases).

It can happen at any time but it's more common in puberty.

There's a tetracycline (antibiotic) treatment for acne called minocin which your doctor can prescribe to you if he thinks you'll benefit.
