I don't have terrible acne, just a few pimples and some scars I would like to cover up. Can anyone tell me what products to use and how to apply them? I usually just use foundation, but it makes my skin really shiny and icky.

Answer:
If you have foundation primer, then it would be a great time to use it. Apply some primer onto your pimples and scars. Then using a small concealer brush, take a small amount of foundation or liquid concealer and apply it on top of the primer. Then dust a light layer of foundation or powder concealer on top of it all.

NOTE: Make sure you carefully read the package when purchasing liquid concealer. Liquid concealer is generally used for covering under eye circles as opposed to acne because of its thin, liquid consistency. Almay has some great liquid concealers though. I personally really like their Smart Shade ones. As for powder, I would suggest you try L'Oreal's Bare Naturale line. If you wear foundation, you would love it because it gives a lot of coverage, but it feels very lightweight.

Answer:
A liquid concealer is the best for covering redness and pimple scars. If you can get one with a sponge tip applicator (like the Maybelline ones- also, Yves Saint Laurent make a magic concealer called Radiant Touch, it's breathtaking for hiding spots and scars!) they are great for dabbing on the areas that you need to cover and then pressing with your finger to cover the spots. If you pat it on instead of rubbing it on, it'll cancel out the redness superior and look more even undearneath your powder.

My biggest tip- make sure you purchase a concealer that’s a couple of shades lighter than your skintone (so, a bit lighter than you would get in a foundation) I made the mistake of getting concealer that was too dark, and it looked horrible and made the areas stand out darker instead of blending in! If you're worried about your face looking too cakey and shiny, then I recommend skipping the foundation…I’ve found that if I use concealer on the areas that I need it, a powder-based foundation over the top is much better! Try it out, it will help to absorb the oil and will provide and matte finish instead of a shiny liquid look.

Answer:
1) Wash face with cleanser

2) Dry face

3) Use Almay liquid concealer over acne

4) Use Almay liquid complection makeup on a sponge and dabb over face whole face until un noticeable

5) use any powder (i use cover girl) and use a blush brush to apply a light coat.

Using this technique will alow u to have a clear looking complection that is light and shine free.

Enjoy!
