I’ve been getting acne for the last 10 years, when does acne stop , I thought acne was a teenage problem,I’m in my 20s.

Answer:
Get any kind of face wash that has 2% (or higher) salicylic acid (ex. st. ives, aveeno, equate, neutrogena's acne fading peel) and a moisturizer (no oil in them except for safflower oil, which is rare to find) for your skin. Wash your face with water that has 1 or 2 lids of rice vinegar or apple vinegar (that'll get rid of the redness immediately - if you’ve any). Also, use eggs to fade scars (if you have any) and reduce breakouts. One more thing, for discoloration that occurs because of pimples, mix white toothpaste with a drop or two of rice or apple vinegar. It needs to be creamy and not liquidy. This will get rid of the discolorations in a few days if its new and a week or so if it's old.

Also, try not to sleep on the side of your face because you can spread more bacteria from the pillow sheet to your face (if you sleep with the same pillow sheet everyday) causing more acne. If you need to sleep on the side of your face, put a towel over your pillow sheet each 1 - 3 days.

The egg treatment is very effective in getting rid of pimples very fast (usually in under 15 minutes).

Hi! I'm sorry you have a problem with acne, but don't worry, just about everyone gets some form of it!

Have you tried using an acne fighter like Procativ or Acnefree (sorry if I sound like a commercial!)? Acnefree is easier to get because you don't have to order it on the web or by infomercial. Another good one is Noxema Triple-Clean Astrigent. If your skin gets dry when using these, you can use an oil free face moisturizer. One thing I tried when I was getting a sudden breakout during class was to take a very, very small amount of hand sanitizer and put it on the acne spot, because it super gets rid of bacteria, but I'm not sure if I'd advocate this :) !

Another tip is to drink lots of water and avoid sugary things. Also be sure to reduce touching your face, or make sure your hands are clean when you do. Leaving the acne alone is ideal, so be careful how much cover-up you use. For makeup, try using a mineral based one.

Acne is most common during teen years, but can stay into your twenties, thirties, even forties (but it's okay, I'm sure it'll clear up). Adults might get some acne just out of the blue, but a lot depends on your hormones. Try to reduce your stress,

that may help.

If you want to be extra sure or would like more stable help or results you should try a dermatoligist.

I hope this helped you, and good luck!

Answer:
Go see a dermatologist who can perscribe you the right medications and figure out what’s going on. My friend had the same problem. HORRIBLE acne for years. She went to see a physician and is currently taking two medications and applying a topical lotion two times a day. It is so much better now. I am guessing her scarring will be gone by the end of the year if she keeps up with the meds

For some people it dosen't stop. I’m 29 and I still have bad skin. I use acne wash 2x a day and use retin-a on breakouts. I also make sure to drink a lot of water. I am able to keep the breakouts to a minimum.

If I eat badly or forget to use my acne wash my skin breaks out really badly.

Answer:
Acne for me is still going and I'm 37. lol. It really doesnt ever stop but slows down ALOT as you get older and your hormones slow (and metabolism etc…). For me, it didnt really take a large break till I was around 30. Everyone's different. Watch what you eat, keep your skin clean but not stripped of natural oils. Dont worry, it'll slow down eventually.

Answer:
if you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you've always got. ie. change what you're doing! your diet is usually what causes acne. no more sugar, dairy, wheat and see how clear your skin will get in a few weeks.
